Thought I'd do a quick photo post showing my snail tank. Too small to house a fish, it's now home to my family of about 8 tiny snails, all of which are so small, it's proven impossible to get a proper photo of one of them without the snail turning out a brown blur.

I've been reading War of the Worlds recently, and should finish it on my next train journey tomorrow morning. It's a really good book, and you should read it if you haven't already. I think, in the time it was written it would have blown people's minds, what with the alien invasion, the technology. We're all a bit desensitised to that kinda thing nowadays. Plus, it's all about technology evolving, and I would really like to see it as a movie actually set in the 1890's, when technology such as the aliens were using would have been so much more advanced and unimagined by humans, as opposed to the film being set in the 50's or present day.

Although, Google tells me that a version of the movie was made that was set in the 1890's, but didn't do quite well and was therefore went straight to DVD only in America. ..Worth investigating.

I like to believe the alien technology to be a little something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSKyHmjyrkA (Theo Jansen's Strandbeest).

Just bought tickets to see The Wombats play at the Enmore in May. So. Excited. My God.
